Round Three of the LunkerDaddy
Tri-Holiday Classic

Sunday afternoon September 5th the Chowchilla Speedway will
come to life with the best drivers in central California putting it all on
the line in an attempt to win the three race Tri-Holiday LunkerDaddy
Championship.

There are five different racing divisions competing for their own
championships, they are the Modifieds, Super Stocks, Hobby
Stocks, 4-Bangers and Dwarfs. In addition to the championship and
the bonus money that comes with the title of Tri-Holiday Champion,
drivers are competing for some of the biggest prize money of the
year this Sunday.

In the first two LunkerDaddy Tri-Holiday races thirty two different
modified drivers have competed and it is Mitch Enos with a slim lead
over Troy Foulger, Bob Williamson, Andrew Krumm, Jeff Streeter
and Ray Mayer for the championship.

In the Super Stocks there have been fifteen different drivers compete
in the Tri-Holiday Classic and it is Mike Shepherd leading with
Steven Hannah, Chuck Crews, Donnie Shearer, Mike Calhoun and
Chris Smith right on his back bumper for the championship.

The Hobby Stocks have enjoyed twenty three of the best hobby stock
drivers found anywhere, and it is Ryan Larimer and Shane Hausmann
tied for the point race in this battle for the title. Right behind that duo
is Marshell Weaver, Robbie Laquaci, Shannon Marlow and Jarod
Fast.

Twenty seven different 4-Bangers have taken the track during round
one and two of the Tri-Holiday Classic and it is Flying Fred Ryland
with a slim lead over Joe Willoughby, Paul "Mr. Smooth" Thornburn,
Paul Espino, Adriane DeSousa, Jimmy Woods and Tim Elias.

In the Dwarf division Ryan Winter is tied with Ryan Diatte, followed by
Josh Pires, Doug Martin, and Walt Hotchkiss.

Great fun and great racing, come out and see who will be crowned
the LunkerDaddy Tri-Holiday Champion!

The pits open at 1pm, grandstands open at 3pm, with racing
beginning around 4pm. Adult tickets are $13, youth are $9, and kids
five and under are free.

4-Bangers are added to the Chowtown Pacific
Nationals

The format for the Chowtown Pacific Nationals has changed for the
better with the addition of a new sponsor. The sponsor is Bass
Addiction outdoor apparel and the addition to the format is the
4-Bangers.

"We wanted to include the 4-Bangers in the Nationals and now with
the support of Bass Addiction outdoor apparel we are able to put
them in the line up for this big event. Not only are we able to include
the 4-Bangers, but we have also been able to cut the Hobby Stocks
and Super Streets back to a two day format and keep the payouts
the same for both of those classes" Kenny Shepherd.

Now the Chowtown Pacific Nationals will feature three days of racing
for the Modifieds, and two days of racing for the Super Streets,
Hobby Stocks and 4-Bangers. This all happens on three great days
of racing at the Chowchilla Speedway on October 15th, 16th and
17th. Click on the Chowtown Nationals banner at the homepage of
www.racechowchilla.com for more information.

A Hart to Hart Night at
Chowtown

It has been said it takes a lot of heart to be a winning driver. On a
pleasant August summer night in central California, Roy Hart Jr. and
Ryan Hart decided to show how it could be done with two hearts, or
two Harts that is as they pleased their fans with a pair of memory
making main event wins.

It was Roy Hart Jr. that set up the back to back wins for the Harts by
driving the wheels off the 41H Super Stock machine on his way to the
main event victory. Bob Smith set fast time and was awarded the
pole for the accomplishment, but the beautiful new ride was not set
up for the blistering pace set by Hart. Steven Hannah has been the
driver to beat as of late but he made an early exit due to an engine
problem. Mitch Enos and Mike Shepherd battled each other but even
when they got in line neither could run down Hart. The top three
drivers were evenly matched and their best laps would be the proof,
Hart's best was an 18.623 in the main, Enos was an 18.678, and
Shepherd clocked an 18.605.

The young Ryan Hart watched the Super Stock Main event from the
pits and saw Roy Jr. drive to victory. He must have paid close
attention as his driving performance in the Hobby Stock race
mirrored the earlier Hart victory as he held off all challengers with a
heart felt bookend main event victory for the Harts (boy that is a lot of
Hearts, or Harts).

Shannon Marlow showed her stuff as she was one of the fastest
qualifiers and stayed up front in the main to take a second place
finish, Marshall Weaver pulled double duty as he raced at Madera
Speedway early in the evening and then came up to Chow and
finished third in the main event. Robbie Laquaci and Bruce "Bubba"
Nelson rounded out the top five. The three fastest times in the main
event were Ryan Hart with a 20.221, Shannon Marlow with a 20.453,
and Marshell Weaver with a 20.458.

Gary Hildabrand took the win in the growing Sport Mod division
followed by Shaun Bryant, Marisa Odgers, Robert Fandrey, and
Raymond Tevis for the top five.

The Crate Late model exhibition turned out to be an exciting nose to
tail event with a couple of Super Stocks jumping in the mix and
showing they can run toe to toe with the big boys. Mike Meazell was
the fastest car on the track as his time showed he turned a 19.170,
Matt Micheli was the second fastest with a lap of 19.387 in the main
event. The third fastest lap was set by a super stock driven by Mitch
Enos with a lap of 19.408. But they all had a problem, and the
problem was the fourth fastest car on the track had the lead. That
driver was Jerry Barlett, and his fastest lap of 19.471 was only good
enough for fourth quick in the race, but he had the bottom line
covered and did not give it up for the entire 25 lap main event. Barlett
won the race followed by Micheli, Enos, Meazell, and Mike Shepherd
for the top five.

This coming Saturday night August 14th is all about Winged Sprint
Cars and Ground Pounding Western Modifieds! Pit gates open at
3:00pm, and grandstands open at 5:00pm.

Big Fun and Fast Cars on Kids Night

The Chowchilla Speedway was the place to be this past Saturday
night with fantastic racing and plenty of fun for the little ones on kid's
night. The highpoint of the night for the kids was the big wheel race,
but the big crowd of kids was in the carnival area. The kids enjoyed
all types of games from the water balloon toss to the twinky eating
contest.

Mitch Enos picked up a big win in the Modified division with a great
drive and one exciting pass to get in front of a hard charging Derek
Colvin. Bob Williamson has been strong all season long and he
flexed some muscle once again with a solid third place finish.

Greg Mead made his first race at Chowchilla in the 2010 season and
he let everyone know he was the man to beat. With a teddy bear
inside the car to please the kids and a big smile Greg drove like he
had never missed a single race. Johnny Tevis won the main by
staying ahead of Kathy Evans, Greg Mead finished third only
because he jumped a start and was penalized two positions for it.

The Hobby Stocks provided the fans with some great racing action
all night. It began in the trophy dash as Shane Hausmann ran down
Ryan Larimer and then pulled door to door with him at the checkered
flag for a photo finish. Three spotters in the tower score the race plus
the timing and scoring computers. In this case there was one that
called the race to close to tell, two spotters had Larimer by inches,
and the transponders had Larimer winning by the blink of an eye. So
it was Larimer to the microphone to meet an excited crowd.

In the main event Larimer got out front early and drove mistake free
with style, while Shane Hausmann was involved in the only caution of
the night, then seamed to get stuck behind traffic and though he
worked his way to a second place finish he was never able to
contend with Larimer for the win. Ryan Hart continued to impress
everyone with another great race finishing third.

Steven Hannah has been getting faster and faster at the Chowchilla
Speedway, and this past weekend he put every lap together as he
won the Super Stock Main event. Yes, I wrote that right, Hannah won,
not Shepherd! Mitch Enos pulled double duty, and anyone that has
meet Mitch knows he is one of the classiest guys you will ever enjoy
meeting, and his class comes through with his driving style as he
finished second in the main event, making it a one-two night in the
modifieds and Super Stocks.

Wright and Porter Win

July 10th featured a double headline main event format in which fans
enjoyed both the winged 360 sprint cars and the Western Modifieds
in one night of racing. The night ended with the super fast winged
warriors flying around the top of the Chowchilla Speedway in the low
fourteen second bracket. In fact Eric Humphries ran laps in the main
event faster than anyone in qualifying.

Justin Sanders set fast time with a 14.673 in the 360 winged sprints
and looked to be the driver to beat on this night of racing. But
Sanders spun in turn one on lap one and then was involved in a
wreck that took him out of the race. When the race resumed after the
red flag it was Anthony Simone that flew to the lead and moved up to
the cushion on the high side of the track.

While Simone set sail out front it was the Chowchilla boy Eric
"Hotrod" Humphries that sliced and diced his way through the pack.
Humphries found that by putting all four tires of his race car above the
cushion he could run a little faster, and faster he was way up there as
he was running laps three tenths faster than the leader. When
Humphries got to the leader he made a spectacular pass coming out
of turn four. Simone had his right rear tire on the cushion while
Humphries made the pass above him with all four tires in the tacky
stuff right against the wall.

While Humphries checked out on the pack Ricky Wright fought with
Simone for second place. Andy Ferris and Tim DeCarlo battled for
fourth providing some intense racing all around the track. Then with
just a handful of laps remaining Humphries exited the race track with
an overheating engine, Wright had just passed Simone so the lead
was his. Andy Ferris passed DeCarlo setting up a battle between
Simone and Ferris, then Ferris made a dashing pass in traffic to get
by Simone.

Wright caught traffic and Ferris found a new line around the track
about the same time, look out we have another race on our hands!
Ferris tried to get by Wright but was unable to do so giving Ricky
Wright win number two of the Chowchilla Speedway sprint car
season.

The top five were Ricky Wright Jr., Andy Farris, Tim DeCarlo,
Anthony Simone, Stu Cornick in the 360 winged sprints.

In the Western Modified portion of the of the main events the driver
with the most wins in the modifieds showed the way throughout the
entire night of racing, that driver is Ryan Porter. Porter worked the
low side of the race track and was smooth as silk throughout the
main event.

Behind Porter everyone was stuck to the bottom of the race track
doing as the leader was doing, that is everyone except for Bob
Williamson. Williamson went clear up to the top of the track and found
the tacky surface, then he flew through the pack of cars and drove all
the way to the back bumper of Porter. In the closing laps it looked as
though Williamson was going to win the event but Porter held on to
take the checkered flag.

The top five in the Western Modifieds were Ryan Porter, Bob
Williamson, Derick Colvin, Andrew Krumm, and Ray Mayer.

The Sport Mods and the Valley Sportsman were the under card
classes of the night. The sport mod class featured a couple of new
drivers. One of the new drivers brought out a beautiful car with a
number 57 on the door, but this one had the touch of a ladies class
on it as the colors of pink and green tipped the look. The car
belonged to Marisa Odgers and everything on this car was done with
class, nice job!

Shawn Bryant showed the sport mod drivers how it should be done
as he drove to a victory. Robert Fandrey earned a second place
finish, Raymond Tevis, perhaps one of the happiest drivers one could
ever meet finished in third place. Steve Gudgel was fourth and
Marisa Odgers finished in the top five in her first race in the mods,
she was fifth!

Mike Henault was one of the fastest sportman drivers of the night, but
Micheal Shearer was just a little faster as he won the main event with
Henault right on his back bumper. Tim Prothro, Mike Hausmann, and
Donnie Shearer made up the balance of the top five.

This weekend the Chowchilla Speedway is closed, but the action is
at the Madera Speedway Saturday night for the Al Pombo Classic.
The headliner is the ground pounding 410 super modifieds! Check

Stanford Wins Round Two of the Tri-Holiday
Classic

July 4th was a hot day, both on and off the race track at the
Chowchilla Speedway. An afternoon full of heat races set the stage
for the main events that evening and the heavyweights of the night
were the Western Modifieds.

Mitch Enos made an impressive drive as he stayed in the front pack
for the entire thirty laps of blazing fast competition. Ryan Porter was
one of the race favorites, and he charged into the front pack and like
Enos, he stayed up front for the entire race. But it was Alex Stanford
that showed everyone who was king in the modifieds on this night at
the Chowchilla Speedway. Stanford fought his way to the front from
the third row starting position and by the half way point in the race he
was the leader.

The battled raged behind Stanford for Second between Enos and
Porter, and behind that duo was an all out fight for fourth through the
twelve position. Names like Barnell, Marsh, Jeppeson, Digiovanni,
Thorton, Foulger, Krumm, Sieweke, Williamson and Dawson were all
in an all out battle for the top twelve spots.

Stanford moved all the way up to the top of the race track and was
absolutely flying, Porter also moved up to the top of the track and in
the final stages of the race he was faster than Stanford! Porter got to
Stanford's back bumper as the white flag went up in the air but he
could not get past him and it was Stanford that took the win.

Porter was second, with Enos third, Barnell in fourth and Jeppeson
rounding out the top five in the modifieds.

The Super Stock race produced one of the best finishes of the year.
Mike Shepherd led most every lap of the race, except for the most
important lap, the last lap. Shepherd held off the charge of Chris
Smith throughout the race but they caught lapped traffic on the white
flag lap. With the crowd on their feet and a lapped car on the outside
making it three wide Smith was able to sneak through the middle and
win by a foot.

Shepherd took second behind Smith, Chuck Crews was third, Steven
Hannah Fourth, and Doug Hagio came in fifth.

Marshall Weaver won the Hobby stock race, Shane Hauseman was
second, Ryan Larimer third, Robbie Laquaci fourth, and Mark Key
fifth.

Ryan Diatte won the Dwarf race, with Ryan Winter second, Doug
Martin third, Josh Pires fourth, and Nick Davis fifth.

Fred Ryland won the 4-Banger race, with Joe Willoughby second,
Paul Thornburn third, Paul Espino fourth, and Adriane Desousa fifth.

This weekend is Open Wheel night at the Chowchilla Speedway!

Night of the D's Denman and Dean Win in Big
Fashion

Jeff Streeter looked like the man to beat in the Western Modified
main event, then Andrew Krumm looked as though he would over hall
Streeter and be the man to beat, that was until Vance Beltran got to
both of them and skillfully took the front spot.

But what the front three could not see was Rich Denman flying
through the field in his torn up modified. Denman was involved in an
early race accident and had to make a stop in the pits for repairs. He
was fortunate it was a long caution and he remained on the lead lap,
started at the back of the fifteen car pack and drove to the front.

Denman got to the front with just a few circuits remaining in the race
and it was now Beltran playing defense instead of offense for the first
place position. Beltran got a bit wide off turn four and it was all
Denman needed as he drove by and flew to the checkered flag.

Denman won with Beltran in second, Krumm was third, followed by
Bill Egelston and T.J. Etchison for the top five in the Western
Modifieds.

Kodie Dean picked up a big main event win for himself in the
4-Banger division, he was followed by Mike Pickering, Ben Cooley,
Johnny Tevis, and T.J. Richard for the top five.

Other man event winners included Ryan Larimer in the Hobby Stocks,
Steven Hannah in the Super Stocks, and Shawn Bryant in the Sport
Mods.

Hausmann Spins and Wins

In the hobby Stock class Shane Hausmann was involved in a wreck
early in the main event and looked as though he was headed for a
rough night. Danny Roe spun two times while trying not to get into
accidents and he looked like he was headed for a very bad night as
well. But both drove back through the field to have podium finishes.

Jarod Fast looked like he was the winner of the race until Hausmann
caught him in the closing laps and made a great move off of turn two
to take then front spot and the win. In victory lane stood Shane
Hausmann, second place was Jarod Fast and third place was Danny
Roe. Both Roe and Fast questioned how Hausmann could be the
winner because of his two incidents, and the answer is a three spin
rule. The same three spin rule gave Roe his third place finish.

Behind the top three were Ryan Hart and Shannon Porter to round
out the top five. Hart ran up front for much of the race but had to make
a pit stop to repair a fuel leak at the mid race point.

The fast and furious 4-Banger division is known for its three wide
wheel to wheel action and this race was no exception as they went
wire to wire with no caution flags showing everyone how it is
supposed to be done. When the checkers flew it was Josh Keheley
that got there first, then Jimmy "Big Air" Woods, and 2009 track
champion Kathey Evans making up the top three. George Silve and
Kodie Dean made up the balance of the top five. As a foot note
Marisa Odgers won her heat race and Phillip Gaitan-Fandrey won
the dash.

A dozen or so of the BCRA midget lites flew around the Chowchilla
Speedway with laps in the low sixteen second bracket. They diced
and sliced two and three wide with their winged speedsters and
thrilled the crowd with great moves. Jason Sheep won the race with
Scott Kinney, Brian Corso, Dakota Albright, and Joey Hoover
following for the top five.

Mike Shearer won the sportsman main, Mike Shepherd won the
Super Stock Main, and Shawn Bryant won the Sport Mod event.

Chowtown is closed this weekend so everyone can enjoy the ground
pounding Super Modifieds at the Madera Speedway!

Williamson Wins Round One of the
Tri-Holiday Series

Round one of the three race LunkerDaddy Tri-Holiday Series is in the
books, and several hard driving competitors put themselves on top of
the mini point's race with some very impressive moves on the race
track.

Just before the main events the shows opening ceremonies where
held in grand fashion as this day was all about the Memorial Holiday
and remembering why we are free to race as we do.

With twenty one 4-Bangers holding American flags parked on the
front stretch as a back drop, veteran Jim Sutherland sang our
National Anthem. Just after the singing of our Nations song, Roy Hart
Sr. introduced several war veterans that now belong the Dos Palos
American Legion, and then he turned towards the flag flying in the
middle of the back side of the race track and played "Taps" on his
bugle.

"I stood at the bottom of the grandstands beside the war veterans as
the eloquent melody from Mr. Harts bugle echoed from the speedway
PA system. What a site, the red, white and blue flags in every race
car on the track, the flag gently swaying in the breeze on the back
straight, and the sound of the melody that beckons us to remember
patriots who served our country, I think the call of that bugle moves us
all, talk about goose bumps. When Mr. Hart finished one fan yelled
out thank you to the soldiers and the entire crowd cheered loudly, I
was fighting the tears back as the race cars fired up and took one
parade lap with old glory flying out of each window" Kenny Shepherd.

Bob Williamson picked a great night to get hot in his Western
Modified as he ran great in his heat race and thanks to an invert draw
of "4" he was able to take his momentum right into the main event.
The Modified main event lasted nearly one hour, but due to more than
twelve caution flags and one red flag the fans only saw ten complete
laps under green before the checkered flag fell. "That was the longest
short race I ever won" said a very happy Bob Williamson in victory
lane.

Williamson had to hold off the talented Troy Foulger on every restart
and Foulger pressured him on every lap of the race even getting
under Williamson on several laps. One of the classiest drivers our
sport has is Mitch Enos, and he ran a very strong third behind the
hard charging Foulger. Ray Mayer and Andrew Krumm enjoyed a
very impressive night finishing fourth and fifth.

The Spec Sprint race was very exciting with cars racing way up in the
cushion and others way down on the bottom, but it was Ryan Bernel
that impressed everyone with his performance as he flew for twenty
five very fast laps to get to the checkered first. David Press, Braedon
Enos, Christian "The Weasel" Hickman, and Brandon Burd made up
the balance of the top five in the super fast spec sprint class.

Mike Calhoun jumped out to the front in the Super Stock class and it
looked as though it might be his night. Steven Hannah caught
Calhoun and was working to get by when Mike Shepherd slipped by
both of them. Shepherd picked up the win and was followed by
Hannah, then Michael Shearer, Donnie Shearer, and Calhoun for the
top five.

Ryan Larimer showed why he is the point leader at the Chowchilla
Speedway by picking up the $500 victory in the Hobby Stock class,
although another Ryan, Ryan Hart led most of the early part of this
race. Finishing second was the hard driving Shane Hausman, third
was the smooth driving Jarod Fast, then Hart and Danny Roe for the
top five. Jarod fast is now the point leader in the Two-Track
Challenge Series for the Hobby Stocks by one point over Ryan
Larimer, and just three points over Marshell Weaver.

Ryan Winter, Ryan Diatte and Gene Pires put on one of the best
races of the night in the Dwarf class. With Winter way up on the top of
the track and Diatte running the bottom the two thrilled the crowd with
back and fourth action that will be talked about for some time to
come. When the checkered came out it was Winter first, then Ryan
Diatte, Gene Pires, Josh Pires, and Shawn Jones that made up the
top five.

4N Ryan Winter
57 Ryan Diatte
74b Gene Pires
747 Josh Pires
24b Shawn Jones

Fred Ryland picked a great night to win the 4-Banger race as this
one paid $200, plus he is the point leader of the three race series
that is worth some cash to the top three in points. Paul Thornburn has
a Clint Eastwood like demeanor, and that smooth style works well on
the race track as he worked his way to a great second place finish.
Joe Willoughby is known as one of the top 4-banger drivers in the
State, and he got to the top three once again with a great drive as he
finished third. Joe passed Adrian DeSousa by a mere two points to
take the lead in the Two-Track Challenge Series with this great drive
as well. Jimmy Corwin and Adrian DeSousa finished forth and fifth.

More than $15,000 was paid out in prize and bonus money for round
one of the LunkerDaddy Tri-Holiday Series.

The next race for Chowchilla is this coming Saturday night, the next
LunkerDaddy Tri-Holiday Series race is July 4th!

Things Grow

The grandstands at the Chowchilla Speedway enjoyed large crowds
for all three major events that took place during the Chowchilla Fair,
and the fans enjoyed some action packed entertainment during the
three energy driven events.

Thursday night featured the earth shaking 4-wheel drive truck pulls
where fans witnessed several full pulls and an awesome display of
horsepower.

Saturday night race fans came from all over Central California to
enjoy an action packed line up of race classes headlined by the
Super Stock Late Models. The BCRA winged midget lites, the Hobby
Stocks, Sportsman, Sport Mods and 4-Bangers filled one of the best
fields of race cars a fan will ever see for the price of the admission
into the Fair.

Announcer Davey Boy entertained the huge Fair crowd with a verity
of fun, and once the heat races were complete it was time for the
invert draw, and Davey found an eager fan to assist with the card
draw. The deck of cards now consists of a 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and two
"full"cards. The "full" card was the card the fan drew, so the stage
was set for some fast paced racing action with lots of passing.

The Sportsman kicked off the main events by lining up on the front
straight for the playing of our Nations song. With the smell of cotton
candy and corn dogs in the air, the lights from the fair rides in the
background, and the roaring applause from the fans at the
completion of the opening ceremonies, it was time to race.

The Sportsman driver showed why they are as crowd pleasing as any
class racing today with battles going on throughout the field, and
when the checkers went out the fight for the win would go to Michael
Shearer. Mike Henault was second, Mike Hausman third, Mark
"Pavement Ace" Odgers was fourth, and Justin Shearer made up the
balance of the top five.

In what turned out to be the best race of the night, the 4-Bangers had
the fans on their feet for most of the race and the leaders went three
wide out of turn two for the lead on the last lap. When the checkers
flew it appeared as though Kathy Evans was second, but after a post
race inspection found and unapproved part on a race car, Kathy
Evans was declared the winner. Paul Espino finished an impressive
second and was right in the three wide mix for the win that had the
crowd on their feet for most of the race. Johnny Trevis and Jimmy
"the high flyer" Woods rounded out the top five in the 4-Bangers.

In the "wow" finish of the night the Sport Mods were not going to be
out done by the 4-Bangers or the Sportsman so they made it a four
wide finish for the win. After the leaders got together in the last turn on
the final lap, Larry Hoover snuck under them and took the win by a
nose.

The BCRA winged midget lites went wire to wire and door to door to
make it four great main events for the fans. Scott Kinney held off the
hard charge of Jason Sheep for the win, Richie Hoover, Doug Nunes,
and Rick "The Pres" Holbrook rounded out the top five.

The crowd eagerly awaited the Hobby Stock race and anticipated
another barn burner of a main event. But the race quickly turned into a
yellow flag festival with caution flag after caution flag stealing the
excitement from the race. Ryan Larimer was involved in a big wreck
in his heat race and it appeared as though he would be finished for
the night, but after repairs to the race car and the luck of a full invert
he found himself right in the mix for the win, and in fact he won the
race in a shortened yellow/checkered finish. Danny Roe, Aaron
Widick, Robbie Laquaci, and Tim Dean completed the top five.

With four great main events and one yellow flag festival in the books,
a big crowd was ready to see the Super Stock late models put on the
race of the night. But it would quickly become an action packed,
wreck invested, yellow flag festival as the Hobby Stock race had
earlier. Much like the misfortune, and then fortune that found Ryan
Larimer in the Hobby Stocks, Darren Thomas found the same bright
light shinning on him, as he too received damage in his heat race
taking him out of it, but he then found himself starting on the pole of
the main event due to the full invert.

Thomas held the point for most of the race but had to hold off charges
by Roy Hart Jr., Donny Shearer, and Steven Hannah for the entire
race. Mike Shepherd started in the last spot in the field but he could
not make his way to the front due to several set backs and caution
flags, the same held true for Rickey Thatcher, and Jeremy Hoff.

The Super Stock race was finally shortened to 25 laps instead of the
scheduled 30 laps due to the amount of time, and the amount of
yellow flags that were flying, and it was Hart that finally got past
Thomas, but then he suffered a flat tire giving Thomas the exciting
win. Steven Hannah, Donny Shearer, Mike Shepherd, and Roy Hart
Jr. made up the top five.

One fan stated "If you like wrecks, the last two mains were great. If
you like good racing, the first four were great." So when the Fair night
of racing was said and done, there was something for every fan to
enjoy.

Sunday was time for the Smash Nationals, and smashing metal is
what the fans got. First there was a Stock Destruction Derby, it was
won by JASON JAMES, in second was DEVIN PARKER, third was
ROGER GUTHRIE, fourth was AUSTIN ROSS, and fifth was BRIAN
BUFFINGTON.

What happened next was a surprise for the fans as Jimmy "The High
Flyer" Woods charged his Duane Fast prepared 4-Banger down the
front stretch and hit the roll over ramp with tremendous energy. The
intention was to roll the 4-Banger in a wild crash, but instead he hit
the ramp at such an angle he turned the stunt into an Evel Knievel
type jump flying the 4-Banger into the sky and crashing hard into the
ground upright. The front suspension was damaged but with the
applause of the crowd the pit crew put the car back together for roll
over attempt number two.

Woods charged the car back towards the ramp and hit it with even
more speed on this attempt. The result was another high flying stunt
that resulted in another upright crash. His pit crew then took the fork
light and raised him high in the air and dropped the car on its top with
the roar of the fans in the background.

With the "High Flyer" out of the way it was time for the extreme derby,
and when the hits were finished the winner was Brian Holt, in second
was Brian Pereira, then Kurtis Vanfocken, and Mike Pereira.

As the Fair came to an end late Sunday Night, it was reported that
Kenny Shepherd was overheard while walking out of the race office,
he said "if you think this year featured exciting entertainment in the
grandstands, what until you see the 2011 Chowchilla Fair."
